Biker hurt in Hartside crash

hartside-pass[A] biker has been flown to hospital in Newcastle after a crash on Hartside Pass.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Hartside Pass at 10.40am yesterday, Sunday 23 October after a motorcyclist crashed into a road sign.

A spokesman for GNAAS said: “The man, believed to be 30-years-old, was assessed for back and pelvis injuries before being taken to Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary within 20 minutes.

“He arrived in a stable condition.”
