Man seriously injured after being impaled on railings in Maryport

maryport-gnaasThe Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the Ennerdale Road area of Maryport at 9.03am this morning, to reports of a man who had been impaled on railings.

The GNAAS doctor-led trauma team treated a man, believed to be 20-years-old, for a serious facial injury.

He was flown to the major trauma centre at Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary where he arrived in a serious but stable condition.
