Lorry overturns on Penrith road

[P]olice were called at 9:15am today, Thursday 8 December after a lorry overturned on Beacon Edge, Penrith, at the junction with the A686.

A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: “The male driver, aged 30 from Appleby, was uninjured.

“The vehicle is in the process of being recovered.”

The road was partially blocked but is now reported as clear.
