Three hurt after Kendal Town v Lancaster City match

[C]umbria Constabulary has made two arrests following today’s Boxing Day fixture between Kendal Town and Lancaster City at Kendal’s home ground in Park Side Road.

Officers have arrested two men on suspicion of assault. The arrests relate to separate alleged assaults.

Three men suffered minor facial injuries. A forth man sustained no injuries. The arrested men are currently in police custody.

The match was briefly delayed during the second half following disruption.

The game recommenced and finished 1-0 to Kendal. The coach carrying Lancaster City supporters was escorted out of the county by Cumbria Police to ensure no further disorder.
