Snow and ice warning issued for parts of Cumbria

[I]cy patches are likely to form on some untreated roads and pavements during Sunday evening, overnight and at first on Monday morning.

Difficult driving conditions and slippery pavements are possible.

Snow will be an additional hazard on the higher ground in Scotland and northern England.

Showers of rain, sleet and snow are expected and, with temperatures falling below freezing, ice is likely to form on untreated surfaces.

On higher roads across Scotland and in northern England, accumulations of 2-5 cm of snow are possible in places.
