Donations needed for Carlisle homeless

[C]arlisle City Council is asking local residents to donate their unwanted items such as towels, crockery and toiletries.

The council manages emergency temporary accommodation and residents often check into the hostels with very few possessions or day to day necessities, with no money to buy them.

Any donations will be passed on to residents who need them.

The emergency accommodation is currently running very low on certain items and is asking for the following items to be donated:

  • Towels
  • Flannels
  • Soup Bowls
  • Plates
  • Mugs/ Cups
  • Cutlery
  • Toiletries
  • Pots and Pans
  • Cooking Utensils
  • Long life food such as tins, pasta etc.

Items can be dropped off direct at Water Street Families and Women’s accommodation.
