About the Pub…
The Crown Inn is set on the riverside of the picturesque village of Pooley Bridge and proudly boasts the best beer garden for miles around. It is currently being refurbished and we’re making even more of its stunning location, adding a first floor terrace that will open up views of the Lakeland, landscaping the gardens, developing a new bar area and creating additional characterful guest bedrooms.

We’re now looking for the team to help us launch this fantastic pub – and you could be part of it.

About the Role…
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a newly refurbished establishment that has a strong focus on quality food. You will have the ability to prepare fresh food to ensure the meals are made in keeping with our excellent Company standards.

We are looking for a Head Chef or possible Sous Chef ready for the move up. You will take responsibility for all aspects of the kitchen including; ordering food, preparing food, training staff, creating rotas, stock control, as well as controlling financial performance of the Kitchen area.
The role is very hands on the pub is predicted to be busy most of the year so our team needs to be able to cope with high volumes, being able to get quality food out to the customers quickly. We believe the role can be very rewarding.

We want someone who is a real foodie, with the skills to drive and motivate the kitchen team. We are looking for a candidate with a natural drive for excellence, commitment and achieving of the highest standards possible, with the ability to prepare foods to a high standard and possess good management skills. Previous experience in this or a similar role is essential.
