Emergency services dealing with crash on M6 southbound north of Penrith

IMG-20170126-WA0000[E]mergency services are currently dealing with a collision on the M6.

The incident, which was reported to police at 2.51pm, has occurred on the southbound carriageway, one mile north of J40.

The incident involves a HGV – the injuries of the driver are not known at this time but are not believed to be life threatening.

The road remains open but traffic is slow moving.
