Teenager sought after Whitehaven assault

[P]olice are investigating an assault which took place at the Whittington Cat in Whitehaven on Friday 6 January 2017 at around 10pm.

A young man had been loitering outside with a group of other youths when he then came into the doorway of the pub and started shouting abuse at customers.

When asked to leave, the man then began throwing punches before the offender was pushed outside and the door to the pub bolted.
The victim was struck but suffered no injury.

The man sought is described as white and around 16 years of age. He was of a slim build and around 5ft 10ins tall, with dark brown bushy hair. He was wearing all black clothing at the time of the incident. His black jacket had reflective material on the chest.
