Boy, 10, hurt in Carlisle hit-and-run

POLICE are investigating an incident where a car collided with a 10-year-old boy on London Road, Carlisle, at around 8.25am yesterday (16 February 2017).

The boy was struck by a white Ford car – possibly a Fiesta – as he crossed at the pedestrian crossing outside Aldi.

He suffered only minor injuries – a grazed and bruised knee.

The car was being driven by a woman who did not stop at the scene. She continued, turning into Petteril Bank Road.

Anyone with any information in relation to the driver’s details and/or the vehicle registration is asked to contact Cumbria Police on 101 quoting log 57 of 16 February 2017.
