Plumbing businesses raises over £3,000 in aid of local hospice

P1070576[E]xpress Plumbing Supplies Carlisle branch have raised £3,572 for Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice from their annual Charity Customer Trade Night. The evening included a raffle, auction and a game of Irish Bingo and was held at the Shepherds Inn, Carlisle.

Since 2012 the kindness and generosity of Express Plumbing Supplies and their customers have helped to raise more than £8,700 in aid of Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw.

Vicki Wardrope, Marketing and Events Coordinator at Express Plumbing Supplies, said “We feel privileged to be able to help towards this fantastic cause. We hope our donation goes someway to help with the financial challenges this charity faces on a daily basis.”

The money raised by Express Plumbing Supplies, who are an independent Plumbing and Heating merchant based across Cumbria, helps Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw to provide care support and activities to local children and adults with life limiting illnesses. This care and compassion is extended to the patients’ families, friends and carers.

Year on year it costs Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw over £3.7million to provide the care, support and activities to local people. Approximately 28% of the funding is received from the NHS with the remaining £2million raised by the kindness, support and generosity of the local community.
