Cumbria Health On Call launch New Training & Meeting Centre

[C]umbria Health on Call (CHoC) has announced that due to an identified demand, they have launched a new state of the art training and meeting centre based within their current head office location at Hilltop Heights, Carlisle, Cumbria.

The centre will operate under the name of CHoC Solutions. It will see the organisation moving forward with its objective to provide a range of innovative products and services to assist in the development and improvement of Primary Care across Cumbria and beyond.

CHoC solutions will ensure that the organisation is focused on improving individuals and groups of people to fulfil their potential and in turn delivering safer and better care to patients across Cumbria. Initially CHoC solutions will focus on training services and products. It will provide training packages and programmes for both clinical and non-clinical colleagues. This will ensure that internally CHoC has a focused, high quality professional development programme accessible for all staff whilst enabling other organisations, such as GP practices, to source external training across a range of disciplines.

CHoC Solutions also provides a state-of-the-art facility from which to provide space and capacity for meetings, events and conferences. This space can be booked out on full, half and hourly rates, there is also the option to book ‘exclusive use’ of the whole area.

Within the centre there is the following space available:

  • Large Training suite for up to 30 delegates
  • Three Training rooms for up to 10 delegates
  • Fully equipped kitchen and rest area

A number of accessible benefits come with booking this space; Free car parking, all rooms are Wifi enabled and have glass wipe boards, hook up devices via HDMI/VGA, PC’S in each room, access to NHS network (if authorised) along with Video & audio conferencing facilities.

Hannah Mason, Executive Director of Operations said: “We identified a need for a central training and meeting space for both our staff and healthcare partners, when additional space became available within our current head office base, we took the opportunity to expand our provision and formally launched CHoC Solutions an identified vision within our organisational road map.”

The new training centre has free parking and is within 5 minutes of the M6 motorway and 2 minutes from Carlisle train station.
