Police searching for missing Pamela Morris find body

[A] body has been found in the search for missing woman Pamela Morris, 61, who was last seen on Tuesday, 4 April in Skipton.

The body was found in the river near Bolton Abbey at around 11.45am today (Friday, 7 April).

At this stage there is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

Her husband Philip made an appeal on Thursday saying: “The last two days have been extremely difficult, especially because it’s unlike Pamela to disappear like this.”

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: “Thank you to everyone who assisted with the search and shared our appeal on social media.

“Pamela’s family and friends have asked for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time.”
