Man seriously injured in Appleby horse and cart accident

Appleby horse cart injury gnaas[T]he Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Appleby at 3:15pm on Sunday 9 April after a man, aged in his 40s was injured in an accident with a horse and cart.

A spokesman for GNAAS said: “The GNAAS trauma team assessed and treated the man for a serious leg injury before he was flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough within 24 minutes.

“He arrived in a stable condition.”
