Carlisle man charged with ‘historical’ sex assaults on children

A man from a village outside of Carlisle has appeared at North and West Cumbria Magistrates court, charged with five-offences of alleged indecent assault, two allegations relate to a indecent assault on a teenage boy aged under 14, with three-allegations of sexual assault on a girl under 14-years of-age.

William Christopher Harrison, 63, gave his address as Eden View Farm Stainton nr Carlisle.

Court papers show two-allegations are dated between February 26, 1970 and February 25, 1972; another two-allegations between November 14, 1976 and November 13, 1978; with one-allegation between November 14, 1978 and November 13, 1979.

There was no plea indicated by Harrison, and the case was sent be heard at Carlisle Crown Court on May 15.
