Pedestrian seriously injured in Carlisle collision

Newtown Road rtc carlislePolice and ambulance attended Newtown Road, Carlisle at 12:11pm today, Friday 14 April following a road traffic collision between a black Peugeot and a pedestrian.

The male pedestrian from the Carlisle area was initially taken to Cumberland Infirmary with serious head injuries and later transferred to Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.

The driver of the Peugeot was uninjured.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area at the time and may have seen the pedestrian or vehicle prior to the collision to email [email protected] or call Cumbria Police on 101 and quote log number 95.
