Man, 21, critical after Morecambe attack

police tape[P]OLICE are appealing for information following a serious assault in Morecambe.

The incident happened between 1.30am and 2am on Saturday, April 15 near to the seating area opposite the King’s Arms pub on the promenade.

The victim, a 21 year old man, is being treated for serious head injuries at Royal Preston Hospital. His condition is described as critical but stable.

A 19 year old local man is assisting officers with their enquiries.

DC Kate Foley of Lancaster CID said: “This is a serious incident which has left a young man extremely poorly. There were lots of people in the area during the time of the assault and someone will have information that will help us piece together exactly what happened. If you have any information please contact us as soon as possible.”
