[A] woman was caught five times over the drink-drive limit while picking her child up on the afternoon school run.
About 1515 hours on 20 April 2017, police officers at Gretna responded to reports the driver of a white Nissan Juke had crashed into a hedge next to Gretna Primary School having only just collected their child from the school.
The female driver, aged 45 failed to stop at the scene and was traced a short time later by police at her home address.
She was found to be under the influence of alcohol, was arrested and subsequently charged in relation to the incident.
A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
