[A] MAN will be sentenced later this week after he admitted stabbing another man in Workington.
John Wayne Conaway, 41, appeared at Carlisle Crown Court today (MON).
In front of Judge Peter Davies, Conaway pleaded guilty to wounding Steven Graham with intent. This follows an incident in Workington on March 16.
Conaway also admitted possessing an offensive weapon – a knife – in the area of the town’s West View Walk on the same date.
He further admits a separate charge which states that he stole meat from a Co-op store on January 23.
Conaway, of Devonshire Street, Workington, will be sentenced for all the offences on Thursday of this week.
In the meantime he was remanded in custody by Judge Davies.
