[A]ctor John Bowe is leaving Emmerdale he’s revealed this evening on social media.

The actor who plays Lawrence White posted on Twitter: “Emotional chat with @ChrisChittell earlier. I’m still upset. What a first class decent chap he is. As with everyone I’m going to miss him.”

When fans asked if Chris who plays Emmerdale legend Eric was leaving he confessed it was the other way round.

He then confirmed that leaving was “not my decision” alongside the hash tag #actorslife.

Emmerdale have not confirmed the news as they do not comment on contracts, but it had been rumoured earlier this month that Lawrence would be leaving after being killed of by grandson Lachlan, another story Emmerdale refused to comment on.

The apparent storyline is set to air in the run up to Christmas so there’s some time to go yet.

Lawrence has had some big storylines since arriving on the soap including being shot by his grandson, coming to terms with being gay after being sent to prison in his younger days, and dealing with many family fallouts, recently he has settled down with Ronnie.

Emmerdale airs on ITV.
