[A] Lancashire man had admitted possession of the class A drug cocaine at the Warehouse nightclub in Penrith.
Kyle Thomas McCosh, 28, gave his address as Bolton Road, Blackburn, magistrates in Carlisle were told that in the early hours of Sunday April 16, police received information that a man was in the nightclub and had some “white-powder” on his person.
Police arrested McCosh for drug possession and he pleaded guilty to the possession charge, the court was told Mc Cosh had just bought the drug from another person who he did not know, magistrates were told how the defendant was a “recreational drug user” and this was for his personal use.
He was fined £250 with court costs of £85 and a £30 victims surcharge was imposed, the drugs were ordered to be fortified and destroyed.
