[A] Cumbrian man involved in multiple counts of shoplifting has been jailed today.
Colin Eaves, 31, of Longland Road, Bowness on Windermere, was sentenced today following a succession of shoplifting offences.
On Monday, 17th April 2017, Eaves stole over £300 pounds worth of tobacco from 3 stores in Kendal.
After being positively identified by a police officer from CCTV, Eaves was arrested at his home address where several stolen pouches of tobacco were recovered.
Eaves entered a guilty plea today at Furness and District Magistrates court, and was sentenced to 22 weeks in prison.
DC Tom Breakell said: “This investigation was an effective team effort which has led to the successful conviction of a repeat offender, Eaves now has time to reflect on his behaviour in a custodial setting.”
