[A] Carlisle pensioner has pleaded guilty by letter to driving without due care and attention.
Christine Anne Logan, 76, of Whernside, Carlisle, wrote to Carlisle Magistrates Court to say she was “horrified” to have caused the collision with a pedal cyclist on the A595 roundabout at the junction with Orton Grange, while she was driving her Toyota car on Tuesday October 18, last year.
Logan offered her “heart-felt apologies” to the cyclist who suffered minor injuries.
Ms Logan was fined £200 with court costs totalling £115, and 6-penalty points on her driving licence.
