[A]t 4:57pm yesterday, Thursday 11 May firefighters were called to a caravan fire on the A689 Newby West, Carlisle.
Three fire engines from Carlisle East, Carlisle West and Wigton and an aerial appliance from Carlisle East attended the incident which involved a derelict caravan which had spread to the roof of a two storey barn.
A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews used two breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a compressed air foam system to extinguish the flames.
“Crews were at the scene for several hours overnight.”
