Police name couple killed in A711 crash

[P]olice Scotland has named a man and woman who were killed in a road crash on the A711 road near to Tower Wood at 9:27pm on Sunday 23 April 2017.

Shaun Boyce a 27-year-old man and Storm Drummond a 25-year-old woman, both from Dumfries were killed when the black coloured Vauxhall Astra they were travelling in crashed and caught fire, sadly both occupants of the vehicle died at the scene.

Constable Rebecca Wylie of the Road Policing Unit said: “We are carrying out a full crash investigation into this collision and would ask that anyone who may have witnessed it to get in touch with us at Dumfries on the 101 number.

“We are particularly keen to speak with the occupants of an estate car that we believed may have stopped at the scene shortly after the crash.”
