Cyclist seriously injured in Windermere hit-and-run

police blue lights night[A]t around 8:15pm, on Thursday, the 18th of May 2017, a road traffic accident occurred at the junction of the Crook Road (B5284) with the Lyth valley road (A5074), Windermere.

The incident involved a Silver Mercedes estate car, driven by a male with female passenger, and a pedal cyclist.

The pedal cyclist suffered from injuries believed to be serious but not life threatening, and was taken to Royal Lancaster Hospital for treatment.

Police are wishing to speak to anyone who witnesses the accident, and to the driver of the Mercedes.
