Police searching for missing man find body

[P]olice searching for a man who went missing in the Conder Green area have sadly found a body in the River Lune.

Benjamin Heron, 39, from Lancaster, was reported missing on April 26th. His body was discovered at around 10.30am on May 25th in the water close to Sunderland Point.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: “The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file has been passed to the coroner.

“Mr Heron’s family are being supported by specially-trained officers and our thoughts remain with them at this sad time.”
