[A] woman has been flown to the Major Trauma Centre in Newcastle after falling from her horse in Cumwhinton.
At 10:45am today, Sunday 4 June the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to assist a crew from the North West Ambulance Service with a woman, aged in her 40s, who had fallen from a horse and sustained a serious head injury.
A spokesman for GNAAS said: “She was assessed and treated on scene by the doctor led trauma team before being flown to the Major Trauma Centre in Newcastle.”
