Workington Town Council Staff to run for Mayor

[W]orkington Town Council office staff will take part in Workington’s Festival of Running in aid of the Mayor of Workington’s charity, Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

The team will consist of Town Clerk Chris Bagshaw, Assistant Town Clerk Amelia Donnelly, Events Officer Amy Johnson, Events Assistant Emma Chapman, Estate Team Leader Alison Saxby, Senior Estate Worker Joe Copsey and Estate Worker Joe Fletcher.

Staff will take part in the 5K run at 12.30pm on Sunday 2nd July at Workington Leisure Centre.

New Mayor, Cllr Ann Bales said: “I am delighted that staff will be, not only raising money for my charity, but taking part in a great community event in Workington.”

The event will be held from 10am-3pm at Workington Leisure Centre and will also feature children’s arts & crafts, face painting, fairground rides, taster sessions in Workington Leisure Centre, food stalls and much more!
