Best-selling children’s author Jeremy Strong to visit Carlisle

Jeremy Strong book cover[C]umbria Library Services for Schools has confirmed that top children’s author Jeremy Strong will be talking to local students about his latest book, “My Brother’s Famous Bottom Makes a Splash!”

The event takes place next Friday 16 June at Carlisle Racecourse, and will feature a hilarious talk from Jeremy, a Q&A session, followed by a book signing.

Thirteen local primary schools will be attending, with approximately 800 children across the day – there will be morning and afternoon sessions.

Jeremy used to work in a bakery, putting jam into 3,000 doughnuts every night. Now he puts the jam in to his stories instead!  He loves writing stories because he says it is “the only time you alone have complete control and can make anything happen.”

His ambition through his writing is to make you laugh (or at least chuckle). Jeremy lives near Bath with his wife, Gillie, four cats and a flying cow.  More information at
