[A] man who used to live in Carlisle has appeared at North and West Cumbria Magistrates Court to face two allegations of assault by beating between December 1st and 31st of 2016 in Carlisle, and a further allegation of engage in controlling/coercive behaviour of a female between January 1, 2016 and March 13, 2017.
District Judge Gerald Chalk was told contained in the charges is an allegation of possible abduction, of his former partner.
David Andrew Sellars, 23, formerly living at Willowbank, Willowholme, Carlisle, today gave an address in Cornwall, the judge declined jurisdiction and the case will next be heard at Carlisle Crown Court on July 14.
