Ullswater – Cumbria from Aerial Republic on Vimeo.
[A]erial Republic, a specialist film production company that utilises drone videography has released footage to highlight the beauty of Ullswater.
Using a bespoke heavy lift drone, able to carry up to 6kg of equipment, the team from Aerial Republic took to all sides of the nine-mile lake to show off its natural beauty.
Featuring basking swans, rocky mountainsides and undisturbed waters, the montage is being used to get people out to the Lake District and other countryside areas of the United Kingdom.
Olly Burton, managing director at Aerial Republic, said: “Filming at Ullswater was great fun. It’s the second largest lake in the English Lake District which means there’s so much to take in. It was definitely challenging choosing from the best shots.
“We’re hoping to do a small series across the north of England which highlights some of the little-known or harder to reach locations that people should visit on holiday.”
During the filming the crew had to take into account a range of factors including weather and flying permissions, which affect a small part of the Lake District National Park.
