[F]ollowing a police pursuit in Workington, on Sunday, 18th June 2017, a 25-year-old man has been charged with seven separate offences:
- Dangerous driving
- Driving without insurance
- Driving whilst disqualified
- Possession of a Class A Drug – Heroine
- Possession of a Class B Drug – Amphetamine
- Possession of a Class C Drug
- Criminal Damage
Colin Berry, of Shore Road, Workington, yesterday pleaded guilty to all seven charges at West Cumbria (Workington) Magistrates’ Court and has been remanded in custody.
Police are appealing for witnesses of the pursuit which started on Needham Drive at 10:26am, and ended on Moorclose Road, Workington.
The car involved in the pursuit was a green Volvo V70 VRM R537GUB (pictured). Police would especially like to speak with a Triathlon cyclist who was climbing up Salterbeck Road towards Holden Road who had to take cover between two parked cars.
