[J]oin the National Trust and Colourful Coast Partnership this Saturday evening to peek into the world of wildlife that lives beneath the waves in and around Whitehaven.
After meeting at Golden Sands at 6.30pm the rangers will take you on a low tide safari around the harbour to explore the rockpools and shallows helping you to identify whatever creatures you can find.
Ranger Chris Gommersall said: “It’s a great chance to get up close and personal with sea urchins, crabs, amazing anemones, starfish and lots of different types of sea snails. One you start looking you’ll be surprised at the number of creatures we can discover on the shore when the tide is out.”
There’s no charge for the event but you need to book a place by calling Chris on 07785226698.
