Firefighters tackle Windermere house blaze

fire car[A]t 2:16pm today, Thursday 22 June firefighters were called to a house fire on Lake Road, Windermere.

Crews from Windermere and Ambleside attended the incident.

A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to put out the fire which was in a first floor extension in a block of flats.

“To access the fire crews used 10m ladders.”
