Carlisle man admits committing sex offences in Carlisle park

[A] MAN has admitted engaging in sexual activity within sight of three teenage girls at a Carlisle park.

Roger Thomas Scott, 43, appeared at the city’s crown court today (FRI).

Scott admitted three charges of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child. Three different females – all aged under 16 – are named in the charges, which relate to criminal conduct within the grounds of Hammonds Pond, Upperby. This took place on the evening of May 28.

No details about the offending were given during the short hearing in front of Judge Peter Davies.

Judge Davies adjourned the case and asked for the preparation of background information about the defendant.

Scott, of Upperby Road, Carlisle, was told that is he due to be sentenced at the crown court on July 13.

In the meantime he was remanded in custody by the judge.
