[F]ollowing an appeal for witnesses, officers investigating a report of an incident of disability hate crime in Workington have interviewed a 16-year-old girl.
The incident took place on 13 April 2017 in the area of The Hub, Risman Place.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: “A girl has now been identified and interviewed at Workington police station.
“She has been released under investigation as officers continue their work and work with partner agencies.
“There were other youths in the area at the time who would have witnessed this incident. They are not being sought as suspects but officers would urge anyone who was there and who is yet to come forward to make contact.”
