[L]akes Alive, Kendal’s fantastic annual cultural festival, is now recruiting volunteers to help make this year’s event a massive success.
Lakes Alive brings a weekend of free spectacular happenings to Kendal and wider Lake District National Park from 8-10 September.
With the theme of “Cultural Landscapes” the festival welcomes world class playful art to the town.
We are now looking for volunteers to become part of the dynamic delivery team.
Volunteer roles include: artist liaison, site management, stewarding, communications and evaluation.
Full training and support will be given by our highly experienced core festival team.
Holly Goodfellow, Lakes Alive Partnership and Engagement manager, says: “We are keen to hear from enthusiastic volunteers who are great communicators, can think on their feet, and would like to become an integral part of the team.”
Interested volunteers can visit www.lakesalive.co.uk/get-involved. Closing date for applications is Monday 10 July.
This year’s Lakes Alive is set to be particularly special as organisers hope its audience will be celebrating World Heritage Site Status for the Lake District National Park.
Phillippa Haynes, Lakes Alive Festival Director, says: “We are finalising a programme of amazing artists ready to excite and inspire people throughout the weekend.”
Lakes Alive is Lake District National Park’s new flagship cultural festival.
Details of artists and events are set to be revealed in the coming weeks.
