[B]ongate in Appleby was closed this morning while emergency services dealt with a three-vehicle road traffic collision.
Police were called at 7:41am.
Cumbria police say the collision involved a 4×4, an Audi and an MG, a 23-year-old man, a 21-year-old woman and one other female.
A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 8:01am firefighters were called to a road traffic collision on Bongate, Appleby-in-Westmorland.
“One fire engine from Appleby and one from Kirkby Stephen attended the incident.
“Crews rescued one female casualty from a car.
“Crews were detained for one hour.”
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: “The 23-year-old man and the 21-year-old woman sustained no injuries, there are currently no details available on the condition of the third driver.
“The road was closed for around an hour.”
