Italian tourists luggage stolen at Birdoswald Roman Fort

Birdoswald Roman Fort, Hadrian’s Wall

[P]olice are investigating the theft of seven suitcases and two rucksacks.

The items were taken at around 5pm, on Tuesday, 4th July, at Birdoswald Roman Fort, from a silver VW transporter van.

This was the complete luggage of a group of Italian tourists, and has caused them a lot of anxiety.

Anyone with information as to the identity of the offenders or the current location of the property should call PC 0353 Thomson on 101 or email [email protected], or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
