[S]EVEN people, including two from Carlisle, will be sentenced by a judge for their involvement in a major drugs supply plot.
Six men and a woman are said to have been involved in a conspiracy which ran for just over two years. This is said to have involved a plan to ship “significant” quantities of class A heroin and crack cocaine into North Cumbria from the Merseyside area.
At Carlisle Crown Court this week, three men appeared and admitted their respective roles.
They were Christopher Hill, 32, of Toronto Street, Carlisle; Andrew Karl Beard, 39, of Newtown Square, Gretna; and Ryan Doforo, 32, of Chislehurst Avenue, Liverpool.
All pleaded guilty to conspiring, with others, to supply heroin and crack cocaine.
The court heard that the offences occurred between December, 2014, and January this year.
Four other people have previously entered guilty pleas to the the two offences.
They include Kirsty Louise Cartwright, 29, of Millholme Avenue, Carlisle.
All seven of the defendants – three of whom have addresses in the Merseyside area – are due to be sentenced at the crown court on July 17.
