[A]t 3:13pm today, Monday 10 July firefighters were called to a report of a van fire on the M6 southbound between junctions 39 and 38.
A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “The crews, two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, used foam to bring the fire under control.
“A thermal imaging camera was also used to check there were no further hotspots.
“One lane was closed while the incident was dealt with.”
