Sheep rescued from Penrith river

At 10:41am today, Thursday 20 July firefighters were called to rescue a sheep which had become stuck in a river near to the Police Headquarters on Carleton Avenue, Penrith.

A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews from Penrith and Shap managed to remove the sheep from the river.”
