[P]olice are investigating an assault on Birkrigg Common, Ulverston. The incident occurred on Friday, 14th July 2017, at around lunch time.
The suspect has driven up to the victim in a white Vauxhall Astra van, partialĀ registration NU52 Z??, gotten out of the car and swung an item described as a wheel wrench at the victim, hitting his forearm.
The altercation started on the common where the victim was approached by the male for not having his dog on the lead.
A 31-year-old, man received swelling and bruising to his arm.
The suspect is described asĀ a white male, in his 50s, with grey short stubble. He was wearing a flat cap, black jeans, leather waistcoat (biker look); the bottom left-hand side of the waistcoat looked like it had a circular yellow/orange badge and he had a modern thin black walking stick. He was walking a black and white collie.
