Police appeal after theft from car in Whitehaven

Police want to speak to this male

[P]olice are investigating the theft of a handbag from a parked vehicle in Whitehaven.

On 26th July at 2pm a man has approached a black VW Golf parked on Church Street and thrown a brick through the passenger side window. He has then taken a handbag from the seat and made off towards Roper Street.

Police would like to identify the male seen on CCTV. He is described as a white male, aged 25-30 and of medium build. He was wearing a blue-hooded Adidas sweatshirt, a light blue jacket and distinctive burgundy Adidas tracksuit bottoms.
