[P]olice have released an image of a victim’s injuries following an assault in a Carlisle bar.
The incident occurred on Sunday 16th July at approximately 2.40am inside Walkabout in Carlisle.
The victim, a 33-year-old man from Carlisle, was punched in the face. This has caused a number of serious injuries including facial fractures and a head injury leading to a brain haemorrhage. He has been discharged from hospital.
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this incident and released under investigation.
Enquiries are continuing and police would like to hear from any witnesses to this assault.
