Police appeal after dog shot in Carlisle

[P]olice are investigating an incident where a dog has been shot with an air rifle in Carlisle.

The dog, a 7-year-old Border and Patterdale Terrier, suffered a punctured lung following an incident between 7am and 7.30am in the area of Sanderson Close.
