Police appeal after BMW stolen in Penrith burglary

Police are investigating a burglary, which took place in the early hours of the 21st August 2017, at a property on Cypress Way, Penrith.

Unknown offenders have entered the property through a rear window and taken two sets of car keys. The first set of car keys was for a BMW 320D vehicle, which was recovered the same day in Lancashire. The second set of keys taken were for a Volvo, but this vehicle was not taken by the offenders.

Also taken from the property was a Scott mountain bike which is still outstanding.

Police would urge members of the public to keep their properties secure by locking windows and doors to prevent this type of crime from occurring.

Cumbria Police are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area and can assist police with their investigation to come forward with any information and contact Carlisle CID on 101 quoting log number 30 of the 21st August 2017.
