A66 lorry crash causes long delays

[A] three-vehicle crash on the A66 near Threlkeld this morning caused long delays for drivers.

Police were called at 9.07am.

The collision involved three vehicles including an HGV, a Ford Transit van and a silver Volvo V60.

A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: “There were no reported injuries and recovery of the lorry is ongoing.

“The road was clear at 12.40pm.”
