Boy, 12, hurt in Walney attack

Police are investigating an assault which occurred on Thursday 24th August between 6pm and 7pm somewhere near to Douglas Street, Walney.

A group of boys and girls, aged around 14-years-old approached a boy, one of the male members of the group punched him to the face numerous times and kicked his body.

As a result of the assault the 12-year-old male victim has sustained a bruised and swollen face along with a bruise and cut on his upper back.

The suspect is described as around 14-years-old, slim build, wearing black-coloured Nike jogging bottoms with a blue-coloured polo shirt, 5ft 2 tall with short brown hair and a long fringe.

Anyone with information should contact police referencing incident 209 of 24th August.
